How many more miles should my Jeep Liberty be worth?

I bought a Jeep liberty 2003. 4WD. I have 114,000 mi on it. I drive to work 55 mi round trip every day on a state highway. I change the oil every 3000 mi. I have had it serviced pretty regularly. It runs well. Are these reliable vehicles. My daughters new husband told her it was rated low on the Consumer report. How many miles can I expect to get out of it? Should I be planning on getting a new vehicle in the next 24 mo?

How many miles will a jeep liberty last for?

I’m 16 and right now I’m looking at a 2002 Jeep Liberty with a little less than 110,000 miles on it. The owner claims to have it in great condition and it is a 6 cylinder gas engine. Please help!

It’s not in perfect condition, the date is not visible, standing liberty’s shield is somewhat visible, liberty across the top is visible, the eagle on the back is visible, in god we trust is also visible.

2008 Jeep Liberty: Redesigned From Ground-up

The all new 2008 Jeep Liberty is designed to take more of the classic Jeep form. The reason? Well, it is a fact that classic designs are timeless and this is probably the reason why Chrysler has decided to make the new 2008 Jeep Liberty as classic as possible.

The new 2008 Jeep Liberty has made its debut at the New York International Auto Show where it displayed its well-groomed appearance which strongly suggests its classic Jeep heritage. And recently Jeep had agreed to let The Detroit News see the new Liberty as well as to interview some of the people behind the vehicle’s new design.

The all-new 2008 Liberty that will hit dealerships beginning the third quarter of this year is equipped with the many elements that arched this vehicle to become a top seller in the small SUV segment. Designers also straightened out most of the Liberty’s curves but at the same time retained some of the individual quirks, while adding a few more features.

Liberty engineers were also very pleased with the all-new Sky Slide which they claimed is an industry exclusive and create a giant sunroof that measures 33 inches by 41 inches.

To open the sunroof a switch is used to open the roof electronically, gathering the canvas at either end. Once it’s completely open, passengers in the second row will be able to enjoy an open sky ride. Jeep® has spent couple of month’s just to ensure that the roof will not leak and would seal tightly when closed. “Jeep has always been about being in the open air, and this roof is one way to give our customers that,” said John Plecha, Jeep’s marketing director.

The new Liberty looks bulky because it’s bigger, which was the main objective of the designers and engineers when they increased its overall length by 2 inches, stretched the wheelbase by 2 inches, and expanded the cargo space by 3 inches. The spare tire which was once placed on the rear hatch was moved under the body just behind the rear axle.

By stretching the Liberty slightly opens up the interior. There are new comfortable seats provided for the new Liberty like for instance the driver’s seat now pushes back farther and providing enough room for bigger drivers. Sound deadening, Jeep nerf bar, and other refinements make the new Liberty quieter than the previous generation Liberty. The new 2008 Liberty also retained the seven-bar grille but makes it more refined.

The classic round headlights have been encased in glass housing and become part of the grille’s face topped by a clamshell hood. The rounded taillights have been replaced with lean rectangular ones that help organized the disorganized rear end.

The all-new 2008 Jeep Liberty also retained the 3.7 liter V6, the powertrain was modified to enhance fuel economy to an estimated 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway based on the more stringent 2008 EPA numbers, Reuter said. Engineers and designers also included new front and rear suspension to make sure that the Liberty performs well both on and off the road.

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Spyware

John Locke said that “no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty, or possessions”, Yet as I sit here at my computer this morning, I get the feeling that the attempts being made to keep the Internet’s safe will not come to fruition soon.

Yes, I can hear you saying, “don’t be such a downer, Doug”

Well, hear me out.

Lets explore John Lockes quote shall we?

Life. Yours, mine, your loved ones. Its yours, to do with what you will. Well, sometimes your will is to use the Internet’s. But how secure are you? Is your AntiVirus, AntiSpyware and Firewall working and up to date? Do you know what is a Spam email is and not to click on the URL they provide? These decisions can affect your life if you are online.

Next, Liberty or as I prefer to think of, Freedom. To have access to particular resources without constraint. If online threats are making your life hectic, would you consider your rights violated? I would if I found out that some drive by download had installed a keylogger on my computer and then cleaned out my bank account. Or how about while you’re trying to conduct business online and you keep getting these awful pop=ups telling you about the sale at Harveys Fish Emporium.

Are your Liberties/ Freedoms being constrained yet?

Now we come to the best part, the pursuit of Spyware. Ok, so John Locke didn’t say anything about Spyware, Write your own article, this ones mine!

Threats to our online safety are growing in leaps and bounds by the day. I learned long ago, there is always someone out there who is better than anyone previously. The attacks on servers, the Bot networks, the phishing, the URL re-directs, Keyloggers, Image Spam, it just goes on and on. Your personal information is at risk every minute you are online.

I know, you have the best AntiVirus, AntiSpyware, and Firewall there is. But is it really? How do you know? When was the last time you ran “Hijack This” and uploaded the results to a help Forum like MajorGeeks, Bleeping Computer or DaniWeb? Its the only way to make sure your computer is clean. And theres no guarantee it wont become re-infected two minutes after you leave the Forum.I know it happens because I frequent these Forums and I see hundreds of freaked users pleading for help. Many are repeat submitters.

Which brings me to the whole purpose of this article. To bring into the spotlight those out there who fight everyday to help keep us safe. They sit at their computers for hours at a time, examining postings in Forums to help others they don’t even know stay out of the clutches of those who would benefit from the misfortune of others.

Ever get that feeling of helplessness that comes when your computer wont work right.

Remember? Not fun huh? These people read your postings and know your pain. Its hard to do this also, they have to help you fix your computer thru posting instructions for you to do. Miscommunication and frustrations can cause it to take longer and compound the repairs.

Then there are the organizations that go after the meanies that cause your pain.

They put out alerts and issue fixes. These include The Alliance of Security Analysis Professionals, The Anti-Spyware Coalition, The Council of Advocates for Relief from Malware Assimilation, The Spamhaus Project, just to name a few. There are plenty more out there that are fighting the good fight every day. The goal is a communication arena where all can participate without concern of malicious intent.

Kind of like the old days when the Internet first existed.

Back then there were “Hackers”. They were mostly driven by ego and competition to see who was the best. Now its mostly about money. Legions of Bot captured computers sending out Spam and ads going to millions and millions of unprotected servers, computers and of course, into your email. Theres also the Pharming of websites, waiting like a spider in its lair for you to show up and give you a lil driveby download of something special. You name the evil that people do and you can find it online. Thank goodness the goodness of the Internet’s is on the other side of the scale.

So, the solution? Make another one and try again? I don’t have the answer, I do know that there are good people out there who want safety for all and are making a good show of it. They deserve our thanks.

I believe there is alway bad that comes with the good. A balance or whatever. And like the other saying goes, Retaining Freedom for all requires constant vigilance.

So be vigilant.

“imprisoned Liberty”

“IMPRISONED LIBERTY

Liberty is a much talked about word and a debatable subject. This word is the best example of universal fraternity as it does not undertake and entertain the social hurdles like caste, creed, culture, gender, religion, apartheid, poverty and international obstacles like territorial niche, Durand line, Red cliff line, McMahon line, Pak strait and other so called frontiers. It does not discriminate people in terms of “the generation gap” too. Discussion and demand for liberty is omnipresent all along the globe. But, at the same time, it is the least understood and misinterpreted title as well. People argue emphatically for the liberty without considering its equally significant, inseparable, integral aspect, the imprisonment. Imprisonment does not mean putting some one into a prison; on the contrary, it signifies one’s identity, existence and horizons of responsibility. Liberty and imprisonment are nearly synonymous with being aware of one’s rights and neglecting one’s duties.

Although liberty and imprisonment are two but contradictory things yet we learn from nature that the things that have liberty of existence and recognition are imprisoned too. Stars are imprisoned in the galaxy, planets are imprisoned around the sun, the earth in its sky, moons in their planets’ orbits, wind is imprisoned in the atmosphere, waves are imprisoned in the ocean, the ocean itself is imprisoned in the shore, rivers in their banks, trees are imprisoned in their roots, nations are confined to their frontiers, a day is imprisoned in dawn and dusk, alphabets in words, words in sentences and sentences in punctuations.

Thus, the very existence seems to be imprisoned and the very prison marks its recognition. Things would not have existed if these hadn’t been imprisoned. Their liberty lies in their imprisonment. Had these denied their imprisonment, one would not see the existence of waves, the vastness of the ocean, the beauty of lunar eclipse, gallantry of hoisting national flag in the wind, the natural beats of music of flowing rivers and so on. Writing and reading of this article would not have been possible either, had the alphabets not been imprisoned into words and words into sentences. Meaning, too, would have lost, had the sentences not been punctuated properly.

Nature is our mother as every thing has been taught by, learnt and obtained from nature. The food one eats, the water one drinks, the oxygen one inhales, the clothes one bear, the shelter one needs to live in, are all nature’s precious gifts or blessings in disguise to all living beings and humans in particular. We, the humans, have deteriorated it most for our own comforts. It is beyond imagination that; how the things, that are for the beneficiary of all, be so badly misused for one’s own benefit, violating nature’s principle which states that one belongs to all while all does not belong to one. If one really and eternally loves one’s mother, then the mother’s i.e. nature’s most fundamental and mandatory principle ought to be borne in mind.

Likewise, all human beings who are engaged in their duties are imprisoned too. But this imprisonment provides them a disclosable identity, an honorable social status, liberty of unanimous existence, buttered bread and recognition. Therefore, be respectable, trustworthy, loyal and obliged to “imprisoned liberty”.
