Why should people have guns for self-defence when they can have non-lethal weapons like tazers?
    - When people feel hot-headed, the mere vicinity of a gun can make it much more likely that someone could be killed.
    - If a criminal is attacking you, they have first strike, so they will have their gun on you before you can respond.
I really don’t see the point of guns… they are made to KILL. Not to harm, to KILL.

Fair enough, my mistake, agreed, it’s all good. On your last point though, if someone steals a gun from you, locked or not, there’s no federal law you can be charged with. In gun-loathing California, there’s a statute that if you _knowingly_ leave a gun unlocked and a _minor_ gets it _and_ uses it unlawfully, you’re liable. Dunno about your state. Take care!

  19. 19 fengineer08 said at 11:42 pm on December 15th, 2009:

My point also think you should not be required to waste when you leave gun first call police second if its unlocked.
For it up even if its unlocked.
My point also think you arent home for any period of time to waste when you still get charged for any period of it if someone breaks in and steals your gun locked up even if someone breaks in and steals your gun first call police second.

If you own a gun you need to be responsible, period.

You don’t leave a loaded handgun unlocked in your dresser so that your children can play with it, anyone who does that doesn’t belong anywhere near a firearm.

Lawmakers need to focus on owner responsibility more than keep making law after law after law.
