How far up can you go in the Statue of Liberty?
I recently was in the statue of liberty and was only allowed to the bottom of her dress. I was wondering if you could go farther up in a tour or if that was all you could climb.

this probably won’t be much help, but i went a few years ago and we weren’t even allowed inside. we got to walk all around her and look at her all we wanted, but no one went inside.
so your experience is probably accurate- now you’re allowed to go in the bottom. ?
You can only go up into the pedastal at the base of the statue; you have to get a Monument Access Time Pass and you have to get that early - see link. You can’t climb up into the statue itself. I climbed up to the crown (my mother said she had climbed all the way to the torch, but that was already closed when I was in school.) I went on a fourth grade class trip and we all climbed up - it was terrible - a narrow staircase that only went one way - kids scared, bored and crying and no way out. We finally reached the crown and were able to look out and down - it wasn’t all that great. Then we got to go down the down stairway - and the same kids started crying again.
The dress is as far as they will take you however you however you used to be able to go all the torch.
The nation the nation the torch.
