I plan to purchase a used Jeep Liberty this summer. How Will I get the best deal?

Should I trade in my current car or should I walk in and negotiate the price I want without a trade in?

Also, there is a Jeep Liberty Renegade I have my eyes on that is listed at $14,900. What’s the lowest reasonable offer that I should offer for this and still be taken seriously?
