In Canada — Best time to send in-land immigration forms post-common-law status?
I’ve diligently been taking care of my American boyfriend, due to us wanting to apply for in-land family status immigration, via him being my common-law husband. :)
Wondering if we should send in the forms just before we reach common-law status (Sept 22nd) or actually bother to wait out the extra couple of weeks to make it official. The less legal hassle the better, of course, but patience is such a pain!
Thank you! :)
PS, he hasn’t worked for the whole year, so he will be legal, and not have done anything illegal in his time living here with me. Impressive, no? ;)
((Since I see a lot of people here are anti-illegal immigrants, just thought I’d note this!))

Better to wait a bit! Pray and everything will be ok!
